Join Claire Wildish and become a part of The Menopause Project, an adventure into wild wearable art making, community encounters and the unspoken and taboo world of menopause.
Enormous comfort comes from sharing experiences and it is true that while Pills, Patches and Pilates are recommended for brain fogs, unruly emotions and changing body types, what every woman really needs in this time of uncontrollable frustration is an old school “stitch and b*tch”.
This three-hour workshop encourages women to bring an item of clothing (such as their favourite pair of jeans that doesn’t fit anymore) to cut up and hand stitch into a community cape that will travel with Claire around the State between workshop locations. This cape will make special reappearances at the Art Gallery of SA on 7 March, as well as Murray Bridge Regional Gallery later this year as The Menopause Project reaches its finale – so keep your eyes peeled for future updates!
