History lovers are in for a treat this May as Murray Bridge embraces SA History Festival 2025 with a focus on the theme ‘Decisions’ – the turning points that shaped our community.

Enjoy free entry to The Round House and Captain’s Cottage Museum every Thursday throughout May, offering a chance to step back in time and explore the pivotal choices that built Murray Bridge, from early settlement to the construction of the first bridge across the Murray River.

A highlight of the celebrations is a one-day event at the Captain’s Cottage Museum on Sunday 4 May, from 12 PM till 3 PM.

Visitors can enjoy free museum tours, live music by the Murray Bridge Community Concert Band, and a variety of food and drink options, including gin tastings, burgers, waffles and more. The Murray Bridge Men’s Shed will also showcase handmade items featuring the Captain’s Cottage logo.

Mark your calendars and join them in celebrating the stories that shaped our town.
