The Tintinara Disc Golf Course is situated in the beautiful town of Tintinara. Located in the Coorong District Council on the main highway linking Adelaide to Melbourne, the Tintinara Disc Golf Course is the first free to play, public disc golf course in South Australia.
Disc Golf is similar to traditional golf, instead of striking a ball with a club, players throw flying discs from the designated tee to a chained basket with trees, shrubs and terrain around fairways to provide challenging obstacles. This free recreational facility offers a nine-hole course with 18 tee off points catering for both beginners and more advanced players and is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.
The course installation is an initiative of the OPAL (Obesity Prevention and Lifestyle) program, and the course is popular amongst the local community and visitors travelling through the town. Discs and score cards are available from Heart of the Parks, Tintinara during opening hours.
